By all accounts, Staffordshire’s JCB Golf & Country Club is about to trade in its signature tranquillity for a full-throttle spectacle of fairway fireworks.
LIV Golf UK by JCB is locked in for July 26–28, bringing its rebel tour energy and star-studded cast to one of Britain’s most audacious modern golf venues.
This marks the third visit LIV Golf will make to UK soil—but the first to JCB Golf & Country Club, a course that was carved into existence with the very machinery that made its owners a global name.
It’s also the final stop on foreign turf for the 2024 LIV season, so expect an end-of-term punch-up with all the flair, noise, and needle we’ve come to expect.
Among the gladiators teeing it up will be Ryder Cup firebrand Tyrrell Hatton and 2023 Masters champion Jon Rahm—both making their UK LIV debuts for Legion XIII. If that doesn’t get your blood pumping, you might want to check your pulse.
“We are now only four months away from what promises to be a spectacular event,” said JCB CEO Graeme Macdonald. “We are absolutely delighted to be collaborating with LIV Golf as both partner and sole host of a UK tournament in 2024 at the JCB Golf & Country Club.”
It’s a partnership built not just on commercial sense, but raw engineering bravado. JCB’s machines didn’t just sponsor the event—they sculpted the very land it’s played on.
Officially opened in 2019, JCB Golf & Country Club was designed by European Golf Design’s Robin Hiseman and stretches across 240 acres next to JCB’s world HQ. The 7,308-yard layout doesn’t so much whisper “challenge” as scream it from the top of a backhoe.
“The 17th hole alone—a 255-yard par 3 on an island—is enough to make your caddie light a candle and pray,” as one might put it.
LIV Golf’s Monica Fee added: “Our newest tournament partnership exemplifies LIV Golf and JCB’s commitment to innovation and collaboration.
We’re proud to have one of the UK’s most impressive family-owned businesses on board to further elevate this highly anticipated event and continue the global impact LIV Golf is having on a new generation of fans around the world.”
On course, it’s a veritable parade of major winners and walking headlines: Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith, Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson, Martin Kaymer, Joaquin Niemann, Talor Gooch, and the all-Euro Majesticks—Westwood, Poulter, Stenson and Horsfield—just for starters. It’s less of a field, more of a gallery of rogues and royalty.
If that doesn’t tempt you out of the armchair, perhaps the hospitality lineup will. From the all-access opulence of LIV Premium to the buzzing Gallery Club and the Birdie Shack’s party-on-the-patio energy, there’s a ticket for every type of punter.
The exclusive Club 54 experience is also up for grabs if you fancy rubbing shoulders with the who’s who of the golf world.
Hospitality tickets are available first to LIV X members from March 22, with general sale opening on March 25. Fans can register for LIV X for free to jump the queue and receive first dibs on passes and updates.
Standard grounds tickets will include all the trappings of a LIV Golf weekend: team and individual competitions, live music, interactive fan zones, and enough Instagrammable moments to fill your feed for a fortnight.
And in a rare show of generosity from a sport that’s not always been the most accessible, LIV Golf UK by JCB is offering special ticket deals:
- Kids under 12 go free with a paying adult.
- Military and veterans can claim free grounds passes for themselves and a guest.
- Students, teachers, first responders, and medical pros all receive 25% off single-day passes.
In short, if you’re a functioning adult doing anything remotely useful with your life, you’re probably eligible for a discount.
For a course that’s only been open six years, JCB Golf & Country Club is punching well above its weight—and LIV Golf is bringing the perfect brand of chaos to match it.
