Carlos Ortiz has joined the ranks of golfers wearing Stuburt apparel at this year’s Open, and he did it in style by winning the International Series Macau by three shots.

The talented Mexican star, who represents Stuburt-sponsored Torque G.C. on the LIV Tour, showcased his trademark cool under pressure with a sensational final round of six-under 64—enough to leave Patrick Reed trailing in second place and secure his berth at the Open Championship.

True to form, Carlos Ortiz displayed strategic brilliance around Macau Golf and Country Club, where fans were treated to a thrilling duel between Ortiz and Reed that stayed neck-and-neck until the back nine.

Ultimately, Ortiz emerged victorious, finishing 22-under to notch his second International Series and Asian Tour win.

Sergio Garcia, another Stuburt ambassador and Fireballs G.C. captain, fell agonisingly short of joining Ortiz at the Open, missing out on a qualifying spot by just one shot after a missed birdie putt on the final hole.

“I’m delighted for Carlos,” commented Graeme Stevens, Managing Director of Stuburt. “He’s been getting better and better all year and this is a just reward for all his hard work.

The numbers of Stuburt players in this year’s Majors is testament to the quality we have on the roster.

Carlos is joining his team captain Joaquin Niemann at the Open, along with Stinger GC captain Louis Oosthuizen, and we have four players lining up at the Masters in a few weeks. I can’t wait to see so many players sporting Stuburt on the biggest stage.”

When it comes to equipment, Ortiz leaves nothing to chance. For those curious about the winning arsenal that helped seal his latest triumph, here’s a closer look at what he’s been swinging:

Stuburt’s presence on golf’s biggest stages continues to grow, with Ortiz’s victory bolstering the brand’s momentum heading into the season’s most prestigious events.

Keep an eye out for more players sporting Stuburt apparel and gear throughout the coming weeks.
