In a strategic move aimed at solidifying its position in the global golf ball market, TaylorMade Golf has officially launched its third integrated golf ball plant, TaylorMade Golf Ball Korea (TMBK), in Cheongju, South Korea.
This marks a significant expansion of TaylorMade’s manufacturing capabilities, complementing its existing facilities in Liberty, South Carolina, and Taiwan.
The decision to establish TMBK came after TaylorMade’s acquisition of Nassau Golf Co. Ltd in 2021, underscoring the company’s commitment to meeting the burgeoning demand for its cutting-edge golf ball technologies worldwide.
Situated approximately two hours south of Seoul, TMBK has undergone extensive modernization and digital transformation, equipping it to produce a wide range of TaylorMade’s renowned golf balls, from cast urethane to ionomer cover products.
TaylorMade’s investment in TMBK is set to substantially increase production capacity, ensuring it can keep pace with the growing popularity of its five-layer TP5/TP5X golf balls, alongside other models such as the Tour Response and SpeedSoft series.
The facility will also manufacture TaylorMade’s visually enhanced golf balls like the TP5/TP5X pix, MySymbol, Tour Response Stripe, and SpeedSoft Ink.
The launch of TMBK represents a milestone for our business and our ability to service our consumers and customers around the world.
We’ve seen exponential demand for our golf balls through the performance of our urethane models with elite golfers, as well as the visual technologies and personalisation programmes we’ve brought to market.
This investment in Korea represents both the confidence we have in the facility and the people, but also the future growth in this category for our business that will benefit both our local Korean golfers as well as our global customer base.
Locating the facility in Korea will help drive synergies with the country’s strength in both its people and technical resources, due to the highly educated workforce and cutting-edge infrastructure in manufacturing and automation.

The expansion of TaylorMade’s manufacturing capacity in Korea is expected to create a ripple effect throughout the golf industry, benefitting both professionals and amateurs alike.
Golf enthusiasts can look forward to continued advancements in golf ball technology, fueled by TaylorMade’s relentless pursuit of excellence.
As TaylorMade Golf continues to innovate and expand, the company remains committed to elevating the game of golf through cutting-edge technology and superior product offerings.
