Vincent Brothers in a Race to Secure LIV Golf Future

As the dust settles on a challenging season, the Vincent brothers, Scott and Kieran, find themselves facing a make-or-break moment in their professional golf careers.

With the Black Mountain Championship marking the start of a crucial six-tournament run in The International Series, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Both brothers have set their sights on earning a coveted spot in the LIV Golf League for next season, and this closing stretch offers their last chance to make it happen.

A Season of Setbacks

Scott Vincent, the elder of the two, has been a steady presence for the Iron Heads GC over the past two seasons.

After winning The International Series Rankings in 2022, he entered the LIV Golf League with high hopes. However, despite seven respectable top-25 finishes, Scott ended up in the relegation zone this season.

Kieran, the younger brother, had a whirlwind start, winning The International Series Vietnam and earning one of three golden tickets into LIV Golf.

Joining Jon Rahm’s newly formed Legion XIII team, Kieran had a solid run, securing three top-25 finishes and being part of four team victories alongside the likes of Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, and Caleb Surratt. Despite this, he too found himself relegated after just one season.

Now, both brothers are fighting to reclaim their spots in the league. The International Series guarantees one spot in LIV Golf for the next season to its rankings champion, making the next eight weeks a nerve-wracking race for Scott and Kieran.

Scott’s Strategy: Focus on the Process, Not the Outcome

Scott Vincent has been in this position before, but he knows that focusing solely on the end goal won’t cut it. “That is the goal, I have said to my team and is what we are doing.

But I cannot just sit here and point at the finish line. I must do all the little things along the way.

And so for me, it is little wins each and every day about what I believe I need to be doing for those things to potentially happen.

Scott’s approach is a mix of determination and philosophical reflection. He’s fully aware of the pressures ahead but remains grounded in the journey.

“The results I cannot control, but how I attack, handle, and prepare for each day, I can control. That is the best way for me to get the outcome I am hoping for.”

Kieran’s Learning Curve

For Kieran, the past year has been both a thrill and a steep learning curve. Being part of Legion XIII alongside some of the biggest names in the sport was a dream come true.

“I really enjoyed my time out there, and especially with the group of guys that I had, they just made it so awesome. If there is any way of being able to get back out there, why wouldn’t I do it?

“I want to do the best I can, I always do but having the availability of six events which is more than half a season and with two good weeks and suddenly, things can change. That is definitely on the forefront of my mind.

“But it is also about figuring out how I can continue to keep getting better, how I can continue to use what I have learned to help me get better?

That is also something I am trying to do for the rest of the season.” Kieran reflects.

Six Tournaments, One LIV Golf Spot

The Vincent brothers aren’t the only ones battling for that golden LIV Golf ticket. The next eight weeks of The International Series are going to be intense.

With each event offering vital ranking points, the competition is fierce. The series’ rankings champion will secure automatic entry into the 2025 LIV Golf League, and Scott and Kieran know they need to be at the top of their game.

Elder brother Scott may be determined to bounce back, but he also has a philosophical approach to his time on LIV Golf.

He said: “As I am reflecting, I know I must take those things that I learned forward – this is a journey. I had an amazing experience playing on LIV Golf, what a dream to play against the best players in the world on the biggest stages across the world. I have got so much to be thankful for.

“But what can I learn and what can I use to move forward, progress and continue from here? Because on The International Series I still get to play golf at the highest level as a professional, and very few people do that. I need to be grateful for that.”

Kieran, ever the optimist, is ready to give it his all.

The Road Ahead

For the Vincent brothers, this isn’t just about points or rankings; it’s about seizing an opportunity that may not come again.

The Black Mountain Championship has set the stage, and the next few weeks will define their future in professional golf.

With Scott’s focus on steady progress and Kieran’s relentless drive to improve, both brothers are primed for a shot at redemption in the LIV Golf League.
