Travis Pointe Announces Multi-Million Dollar Revamp Ahead of 50th Anniversary

Travis Pointe Country Club has never been one to rest on its laurels, and the distinguished member-owned private golf and lifestyle club in Ann Arbor has just announced a sweeping multi-million-dollar renovation that’s sure to set tongues wagging from tee to green.

With nearly half a century of proud history at its back, this iconic institution is pulling out all the stops to create a whole new level of first-class comfort, camaraderie, and cutting-edge amenities for every member of the family.

Former host of the LPGA’s Volvik Championship, Travis Pointe has always had its finger on the pulse of what today’s members crave—whether it’s an impeccably designed golf course (which has seen its fair share of prestigious events), indoor golf simulators for those unpredictable Midwestern winters, tennis and racquet sports for all ages, or an upscale dining experience led by award-winning Chef Jason Berthold.

This upcoming transformation, fueled by a multi-million-dollar investment, promises to raise the bar yet again and ring in the next 50 years with flair.

“We’re thrilled to bring our members, and prospective members from the community, an exciting new chapter in Travis Pointe history with these exceptional renovations and property upgrades,” said Kori Isaac, General Manager of Travis Pointe Country Club.

“What’s exciting is that every project and touchpoint is intentional and on-trend with what today’s private club members want most.

Our Board of Directors surveyed the membership to prioritize the scope of the renovations.

Travis Pointe is going to be an even more attractive, luxurious ‘second home’ with an inviting elegance that brings pride and excitement to the community.”

A Modernised Clubhouse with a Refined Flair

Comus Consulting and The Alan Group will lead the charge on giving the clubhouse a contemporary makeover.

From a redesigned porte-cochere and brightened exterior brick to new, expansive outdoor dining venues, everything will have a fresh, open feel.

The main dining room, bar area, and grill room will be reimagined into a central social hub—perfect for celebrating that amazing round you just played or hosting family and friends for special gatherings.

The plan also calls for a grand stairway leading off the back patio to create a more dramatic entrance to newly renovated dining rooms and event spaces, bringing a hearty dose of “wow” factor along with improved functionality.

As if that wasn’t enough, the expansion of a fifth outdoor tennis court will accommodate the surging interest in racquet sports and position the club to host more USTA-sanctioned events.

“We are committed to creating a vibrant Travis Pointe community that will thrive for the next 50 years,” said Joe Golden, President of the Board of Directors.

“These renovations are a testament to our members’ support and dedication, ensuring a lasting legacy for future generations.

With these enhancements, Travis Pointe, more than ever, will have this gravitational effect where people in the community look at the club as their favourite golf course, favourite place to dine with family and friends and the place they are proud to build lasting memories in for many, many years.”

A Beloved Golf Course Readies for Its Next Generation

On the golf side of the ledger, veteran course architect and Travis Pointe member Chris Wilczynski, of C.W. Golf Architecture, is set to oversee a comprehensive enhancement of the course.

He’ll realign and reposition bunkers to fine-tune both aesthetics and shot values, install the advanced Better Billy Bunker system, and expand greens and fairways for a friendlier experience to all skill levels.

Improved drainage and ongoing tree projects will keep the course in peak condition throughout the seasons.

This grand vision kicks into high gear in the fall of 2025 for the clubhouse, followed by golf course renovations in 2026.

Bobby Jones Links will continue managing the club during and after construction, ensuring smooth sailing from planning to execution.

By the time Travis Pointe Country Club rings in its 50th anniversary in 2027, members can expect a reinvigorated property that’s as breathtaking as a perfectly played approach shot.

If you’re seeking a private club that delivers on luxury, hospitality, and that intangible sense of belonging, you might just find your home away from home here.
