Golf lovers worldwide went wild, virtually teeing off 523,364 times on Royal Troon’s iconic Postage Stamp hole, across over 1,000 Toptracer ranges during the Championship week.
This innovative collaboration had golf enthusiasts from every corner of the planet participating in the Toptracer Global Challenge.
A whopping 4,941 participants took their best shots, striving for perfection.
Among these, 56 holes-in-one were registered, with the standout performance from くぐみなと at Golf Club Luminous in Toyota, Japan, who incredibly notched up six holes-in-one.
Outstanding Participation and Performances
The global leaderboard saw seven dedicated players each racking up over 1,000 attempts on the Postage Stamp.
Leading the charge was くぐみなと from Golf Club Luminous, Japan, who made a staggering 3,430 attempts, achieving an impressive hole-in-one average of 0.175%.
Onsite at Royal Troon, the Toptracer Indoor experience also recorded remarkable participation with a total of 40,265 shots hit in The Swingzone and Origins Hospitality during Championship week.
Comparatively, the 157 players competing in The Open hit a total of 34,710 shots on the Royal Troon links, underscoring the massive global interest and participation in the Toptracer experience.

Toptracer’s technology has proven its power in uniting golf fans around the world. This activation at The Open not only enhanced the spectator experience but also provided a platform for golfers to engage, compete, and celebrate their passion for the sport.

Highlights and Achievements at Royal Troon
- The Championship driving range saw a total of 68,942 shots during the week.
- In the Origins hospitality area, 15-year-old Daniel Petersen from Northern Ireland came closest to the pin, with a shot finishing just 3 inches from the hole. Remarkably, Daniel, who has been playing golf for only a year, achieved this using a wedge, hitting the flag before the ball settled near the hole.
