Allow me to introduce the newest contender in wedge technology: the Titleist Vokey 44F Wedges, fresh from the labs at Vokey Design.
If you’ve ever craved the performance and sleek address profile of a Vokey pitching wedge but felt the need for a stronger loft, then you might find this latest masterpiece right up your alley.
Titleist’s WedgeWorks 44F pitching wedge steps in for those who loved the look and spin control of wedges like the SM10 46.10F or 48.10F but play iron sets with stronger loft progressions—like Titleist’s T150, with a 44-degree pitching wedge, or the T200 and T350, both sporting 43-degree pitching wedges.

Strengthening a 46.10F by bending can help, but once you’re more than a degree off the stock loft, offset and bounce take a hit.
This is where the 44F truly shines, offering that coveted Vokey shape with 10 degrees of bounce without compromising gapping.
“The Vokey 46 has been such a valuable club for so many, Tour players and amateurs alike,” said Vokey Tour Representative Aaron Dill. “It offers the profile the Vokey wedge player loves, the bounce and grind that creates the right launch and spin, and consistency in carry numbers. With the lofts getting stronger in iron sets, we needed a lower-lofted head to avoid the sacrifices that came from strengthening a 46.”
In other words, the new WedgeWorks 44F pitching wedge makes it easier than ever to blend Vokey performance at the lower end of the bag, ensuring you stay dialled in from tee to green.
WEDGEWORKS 44F ON TOUR
The WedgeWorks 44F pitching wedge has already made a splash on tour. Titleist Brand Ambassador Wyndham Clark began tinkering with the new design in December 2024 at the Titleist Performance Institute.
He’d been working closely with Aaron Dill to refine yardage gapping and wedge grinds for soft, grainy conditions.
“When a player doesn’t have enough bounce, often the vertical impact location can be higher up on the face, which results in less spin and more height.” said Dill.
“Wyndham was originally in 46.10F bent strong, which decreased bounce. In softer conditions, his strike would tend be higher on the face than optimal, which is what we were trying to eliminate.”

Clark tested the WedgeWorks 44F, then bent it slightly weak to 45 degrees of loft—an adjustment that actually boosts bounce and reduces offset.
“The 44F bent slightly weak was a perfect fix,” said Dill. “It gave him more bounce and helped keep his flight down, and we stayed in a profile that fit his eye.
It added confidence, as he knew he could aggressively strike the turf and trust that he would get the result he was looking for. It’s a tweak we couldn’t have made with a 46-degree head.”
By the time the 2025 PGA TOUR season kicked off at the Sentry, Clark had the 44F proudly in his bag.
SM10 TECHNOLOGY
Progressive Centre of Gravity Placements
Vokey Design SM10 wedges benefit from carefully positioned CG, promoting consistent distance and trajectory control.
In the 46-52-degree models—and now with the WedgeWorks 44F—the CG is placed lower to transition more naturally from your iron set.
It’s also nudged closer to the face’s centre to reduce unwanted draw spin and provide a more solid, satisfying feel.
For lofts 54-62, the CG moves up and forward, lowering trajectory and helping keep the face square at impact.
This loft-optimised CG design means more dependable flight, better feel, and tighter shot dispersion from top to bottom of your wedge setup.
Patented Spin Milled Process for Maximum Spin
Each SM10 groove is machine-cut right to the edge, boosting spin to tour-level standards.
Every Vokey wedge also undergoes 100% inspection—no corners cut—so you can trust you’re getting peak performance.
