The Duels: LIV Golf’s New Star-Studded Event Blending Pros and YouTubers

LIV Golf’s The Duels might just be golf’s answer to a high-wire circus—mixed with a dash of rock concert.

LIV has announced a brand-new single-event spectacle called The Duels: Miami, an electric showdown set for April 5 that pairs six of LIV Golf’s biggest names with six of the internet’s most beloved golf content creators.

It’s all happening on YouTube, and it promises to push the very boundaries of what we typically call “traditional golf.”

As the first truly global golf league, LIV Golf is already known for revving up the sport through its team-based format—building fresh traditions and devising fan experiences that are nothing short of riveting.

Now, The Duels aims to crank up that excitement meter even further with a nine-hole scramble designed to capture the attention of new and seasoned fans alike.

Each content creator will tee it up alongside a LIV Golf pro against the picturesque setting of LIV Golf Miami, the league’s first U.S. event of the 2025 season.

This high-octane pairing is as star-studded as it gets:

Sergio Garcia and George Bryan
Bubba Watson and Luke Kwon
Joaquin Niemann and Rick Shiels
Phil Mickelson and Grant Horvat
Dustin Johnson and Wesley Bryan
Cameron Smith and Fat Perez

And if that’s not enough, personalities Mason Nutt, Andrew Santino, Joey Demare (better known as Joey Cold Cuts), and Robby Berger (Bobby Fairways) will provide live commentary—filling you in on every clutch shot, wild joke, and breathtaking moment.

“At LIV Golf, we champion bold, new approaches to the game, and The Duels is a perfect example of how golf continues to evolve and engage fans,” said LIV Golf Chief Marketing Officer Adam Harter.

“We love what the creator community has done for this game and this event is a way to celebrate the creativity and passion that fuels the modern golf community while connecting them with the most exciting elite golfers on the planet.”

Fans around the globe can witness The Duels in all its glory exclusively on Grant Horvat’s YouTube channel, premiering on Saturday, April 5.

Once the main event wraps up, each participating LIV Golf team will share extended footage on their digital platforms—serving up extra content ranging from shot-by-shot replays to behind-the-scenes bloopers. Let’s face it: it’s going to be golf’s version of a VIP after-party.

Follow LIV Golf on social media for insider updates as we barrel toward LIV Golf Miami at Trump National Doral, set for April 4–6.

When the big weekend hits, catch LIV Golf Miami live on FOX, FS1, and the FOX Sports App starting Friday, April 4 at noon ET.

If you’re looking for a show that’s equal parts competition, comedy, and sheer daredevilry, The Duels is where you’ll want to be—so buckle up, and enjoy the ride!
