Sergio Garcia & Patrick Reed Confirmed for International Series Macau 2025

The International Series Macau presented by Wynn is poised to become an unmissable showcase of world-class golf, as freshly confirmed entrants Sergio Garcia and Patrick Reed prepare to join the star-studded line-up.

These Masters champions will tee it up at Macau Golf and Country Club from 20-23 March, where last year’s defending champion John Catlin famously carded a 59 en route to a dramatic play-off triumph.

Garcia, the Fireballs GC captain from the LIV Golf League, plans to bring his entire squad for the second of 10 enhanced events on the Asian Tour calendar.

Fellow Fireballs members Abraham Ancer—champion in Hong Kong earlier this season—David Puig, who lost in last year’s playoff to Catlin, and newcomer Luis Masaveu will all compete in Macau.

They’re fresh off a thumping six-stroke team victory at LIV Golf Adelaide, so the Fireballs crew will arrive brimming with confidence.

The local crowd will also have plenty to cheer for, thanks to Hong Kong native Taichi Kho, winner of the 2023 World City Championship.

More big-name players are expected to be announced soon, rounding out what promises to be a truly international spectacle.

Garcia’s 2024 campaign was highlighted by his inaugural LIV Golf League victory at LIV Golf Andalucia, despite earlier heartbreak in two play-offs at Mayakoba and Miami.

His impressive performances culminated in a third-place finish on the league’s overall individual standings, just behind Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann.

Reed, meanwhile, brought his own heroics to 2024: the 2018 Masters champion ended a four-year title drought by shooting an 11-under-par 59 at the Hong Kong Golf Club on his way to winning the Link Hong Kong Open on The International Series.

In a notable boost for aspiring major contenders, The International Series Macau presented by Wynn has been included in The Open Qualifying Series for 2025.

The top three finishers will secure coveted berths in the season’s fourth major, adding an extra layer of tension to an already thrilling event.

“The presence of globally recognised players alongside proven winners from The International Series and Asian Tour adds incredible depth to the competition, making this a must-watch event.

With so much at stake, including three places in the field for The Open, we’re set for an electrifying week of world-class golf.”
