However, the afternoon brought a fierce challenge from Scott Jamieson. The Scotsman rallied with a remarkable seven under par 65, closing the gap to just three strokes behind Söderberg with a total of 12 under par.
Julien Guerrier of France also made a significant move on the leaderboard, firing the lowest round of the day with an outstanding eight under 63, placing him one stroke further back at 11 under par.
