Portrush Adelphi Hotel in Northern Ireland: A New Chapter in Luxury and Golf

Portrush Adelphi Hotel in Northern Ireland

Well, tickle my tweed cap and call me a golfer! The doors to the revamped Portrush Adelphi Hotel in Northern Ireland are swinging wide open, and it’s not just the wind from those famous Northern Irish gusts.

Starting April 1, 2025, Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts are lining up to check you in at this gem that sits prettier than a new set of irons.

Now, if you’re a fan of both the old world and the new luxury, hold onto your hats—or better yet, your golf caps!

The Portrush Adelphi, snuggled up in the heart of Portrush, has undergone a transformation that could very well make a saint swear with delight.

We’re talking about 34 rooms that have been dolled up from head to toe by the in-house design wizards at AJ Capital Partners.

Expect interiors that’ll make you feel like you’re wrapped in a warm, rich fabric, not unlike the belly of a cosy Irish pub, with textures that sing songs of the nearby rugged coast.

Phillip Allen, the big kahuna at Marine & Lawn Hotels and Resorts, couldn’t be prouder. “We’re pleased to welcome Portrush Adelphi Hotel to the Marine & Lawn collection,”

“The hotel is a fantastic addition to the portfolio, offering travellers premier access to world-class golf courses and Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most stunning geological features on earth.

The property is a true community gem and will continue to offer both locals and visitors an authentic experience that pays homage to the rich history and rugged beauty of County Antrim and the Causeway Coast.

We’re honoured to continue to grow our presence in Northern Ireland and thrilled that we’ll have a fully renovated Portrush Adelphi Hotel to showcase when the world of golf once again turns its eyes on Portrush for the 2025 Open Championship.”

The hotel promises to be a community beacon, shining brighter than a lighthouse, and offering both the locals and the wanderers from afar a slice of the real Northern Irish charm.

And charm isn’t the only thing on the menu. For the golf aficionados among us, the hotel’s reopening is timed perfectly with the 2025 Open Championship at Royal Portrush.

It’s like the stars have aligned! Speaking of stars, Royal Portrush isn’t just any golf course.

Ranked eighth worldwide, it’s a beauty that hugs the ocean, offering views that could make you forget you’re there to play golf.

Location, location, location! The Portrush Adelphi is just an hour’s trot from Belfast and within a short drive to the Giant’s Causeway and the old Bushmills Distillery. It’s enough to make you want to settle in and never leave.

Joining illustrious siblings like Slieve Donard and a few Scottish beauties, the Portrush Adelphi Hotel is now the sixth star in the Marine & Lawn constellation and the second bright light in Northern Ireland, shining a spotlight on this corner of the golfing world.

So, whether you’re here to swing clubs or simply sip some local whiskey while soaking in the vistas, the Portrush Adelphi Hotel in Northern Ireland awaits.

And don’t just take my word for it; go see for yourselves!
