PING has upped its game once again by announcing the exciting launch of the PING Junior Golf nationwide tour, building on a 15-year partnership with the Northern Junior Tour.
So what does this mean for junior golfers aged 6 to 21? A lot more chances to test their skills and enjoy the sport in a setting that feels more like family than formal competition.
Now, this isn’t just some run-of-the-mill tour. Oh no, PING has a reputation for creating opportunities, and this is no exception.
By taking the Northern Junior Tour national, they’re not only increasing the scale but staying true to their roots.
The focus? A supportive, inclusive, and competitive environment. And that’s not just lip service.
Matt Clark, PING Europe’s European Marketing Manager said of the launch, “We’re delighted to be launching the PING Junior Golf Tour in 2025 and further expanding our support of junior golf in the UK.”
This new tour is designed to give young players of all levels—from the first-time swinger to the seasoned junior champ—a chance to shine.
There’s no elitist gatekeeping here. In fact, PING wants every junior golfer, regardless of skill, to get involved. The goal? Fun and improvement. Simple as that.
Clark summed it up best: “Regardless of age or ability, we want everybody to come to our events, have fun, and play your best.”
And with Jason Budd and Mike Greener continuing their roles as Tour Directors, you know the community vibe will be strong. These two have built a tight-knit golfing family over the years, and this new initiative will only expand that family.
The PING Junior Golf Tour, set to kick off in 2025, will give young players a genuine path to competitive golf.
Not only will they develop their skills on the course, but they’ll also pick up essential life lessons from it. After all, that’s what golf—and PING’s vision—is all about.
If you’re a junior golfer (or know one), you’ll want to mark your calendars for the Grand Final at Thonock Park in Gainsborough.
With PING behind it, this tour is set to be a game-changer for junior golf in the UK.
