Primo Clothing is back in the swing, teaming up with HyFlyers GC and none other than six-time major champion Phil Mickelson.
As the official golf apparel sponsor, Primo is set to dress the team in style both on and off the course.
It’s a partnership that’s sure to make some serious waves in the golfing world.
If that’s not enough excitement to keep your head down, the HyFlyers will debut their new digs during the LIV season opener in Riyadh, showcasing Mickelson and crew dressed to the nines in Primo’s signature joggers, quarter zips, and more.
Now, I’ve seen plenty of brand deals in my day, but this one feels different: Mickelson himself couldn’t resist the lure of the legendary joggers.
He first tested out Primo’s flagship product at the Open Championship—thanks to losing a friendly wager with the Primo ambassador.
Turns out, Lefty was quick to warm up to the modern look. “I was challenged to wear the Primo joggers at the Open Championship after losing a match against Primo ambassador Grant Horvat,” said Mickelson.
“It turned out to be a game-changer. As I said, I wasn’t sure I could pull off wearing the cool, fashionable joggers but I have fallen in love with them and the rest of Primo’s outstanding product line. I’m excited the HyFlyers will be rocking them during our season.”
As captain, Mickelson will be joined by teammates Brendan Steele, Cameron Tringale, and Andy Ogletree—all of whom are swapping their traditional threads for Primo’s full product range.
Beyond joggers, which come in 40 size options to fit golfers of all shapes and sizes, Primo also offers pants, polos, hoodies, and quarter zips.
It’s all part of their “Golfers are Athletes” philosophy: apparel that marries athletic fit with performance features, ensuring you don’t have to wrestle with your outfit when you’re chasing birdies.
Mickelson’s Hall-of-Fame résumé might overshadow some headlines, but the folks at Primo aren’t exactly novices at winning.
They launched their now-famous joggers in 2020 and have been riding a wave of momentum ever since.
“Partnering with HyFlyers GC is a huge milestone for us,” said Primo Founder & CEO Matty Gay. “Phil, like Primo, is incredibly passionate about the game of golf, has tremendous achievements in the game, and fits perfectly with our brand. Years of hard work have led us to this point, and we are excited to watch the team compete wearing Primo gear this season.”
HyFlyers GC General Manager Peter Davis is equally enthusiastic. “We are excited to launch our partnership with Primo Golf Apparel,” said Davis, “Primo is constantly innovating and creating high-quality products that golfers love.
We look forward to helping them accelerate their growth and continuing to build their brand throughout the season.”
Fans eager to dress like Mickelson and company can find the latest Primo gear on-site at LIV Golf events, via LIV Golf’s platform, or at Primo’s own website.
So, if you’ve ever fancied a stylish pair of joggers that get the thumbs-up from Phil himself, now’s your chance.
With all eyes on the HyFlyers’ season ahead, it looks like Primo might just hole another one right down the middle.
