PGA Swings the Door Wide Open for LIV Golfers at Ryder Cup and PGA Championship

The golfing landscape just got a whole lot more interesting! The PGA of America has rolled out the welcome mat for LIV Golf players, declaring they can now tee up at big-ticket events like the Ryder Cup and the PGA Championship.

This move is all about keeping the U.S. Ryder Cup team stacked with top-tier talent.

From 2025, the likes of big hitters Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka won’t just be on the guest list; they’ll be part of the main event, provided they snag enough points or catch the captain’s eye for a pick.

This change literally blows the doors wide open for players who’ve ventured over to LIV Golf but still crave a shot at the majors.

Keegan Bradley, the captain with a plan, is all about fielding the strongest squad. “I’m gunning for the best 12 players at Bethpage,” he said recently.

His message is clear: if you’ve got what it takes, he’ll make sure you’re in the club—PGA membership and all.

This isn’t the first time LIV golfers have swung on PGA greens, but it solidifies their spot on the roster.

The PGA of America is playing a smart game here—embracing all the talent available to keep the competition fierce and the galleries full.

And while LIV Golf outings don’t rack up Ryder Cup points just yet, these players can climb the leaderboard at the majors.

Remember Koepka’s triumph at last year’s PGA Championship? That kind of performance doesn’t just turn heads—it turns them into Ryder Cup contenders.

This bold play by the PGA of America is more than just a nod to inclusivity; it’s about keeping the spirit of competition alive and well in the game of golf, ensuring fans get to see the best of the best, no matter where they tee off from.
