The PGA of America and CBS Sports have collaborated to bring a new special, “We Love to Play this Game,” a half-hour show that will air on Saturday, April 27th at 2:30 p.m. ET on the CBS Television Network.
This program celebrates PGA of America Golf Professionals who not only contribute to the golf industry through coaching, managing, and growing the game but also play at a high level, often competing alongside the world’s best players.

Narrated by Amanda Balionis, the show delves into the lives of six PGA of America Golf Professionals and their journeys to compete in prestigious events such as the PGA Championship, KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, or KPMG Women’s PGA Championship as part of the Corebridge Financial Team.
This spotlight on the lives of these professionals provides insights into their career paths, achievements, and personal stories.
PGA of America President John Lindert praised the unique and inspiring stories of the featured golf professionals, mentioning that their achievements, like Michael Block’s T-15 finish at the PGA Championship and Kim Paez’s historic win in the Southwest PGA Section Championship, demonstrate the passion and dedication of these players.
PGA of America Golf Professionals Featured in “We Love to Play this Game” include:
- Michael Block, PGA: Head Professional at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo, California, who made headlines with his T-15 finish at the 2023 PGA Championship, including a final-round hole-in-one.
- Stephanie Connelly-Eiswerth, PGA/LPGA: Teaching Professional at San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida, and the 2023 Women’s PGA Professional Player of the Year. She became the first woman to win a PGA Tournament Series event.
- Jerry Haas, PGA: Men’s Golf Coach at Wake Forest University, renowned for his coaching career and his family’s legacy in golf, including his uncle Bob Goalby, a Masters champion.
- Kim Paez, PGA: Player Development Director for Ping and Teaching Professional at Cave Creek Golf Club’s Reid West Golf Academies in Phoenix, Arizona. She made history as the first woman to win the Southwest PGA Section Championship.
- Braden Shattuck, PGA: Director of Instruction at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pennsylvania, who won the 2023 PGA Professional Championship after recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident.
- Bob Sowards, PGA: Director of Instruction at Kinsale Golf & Fitness Club in Powell, Ohio, a highly decorated professional with nine national PGA of America Awards, including multiple PGA Professional Player of the Year and Senior PGA Professional Player of the Year titles.
The special will re-air five times between April 30 and May 11 on CBS Sports Network (CBSSN), allowing viewers to catch it in primetime.
