Summer at Palmares Ocean Living & Golf: A Celebration of Sports and Lifestyle

This summer, Palmares Ocean Living & Golf is the destination of choice for an authentic Portuguese experience.

Nestled on Portugal’s renowned Algarve coast, this award-winning golf resort promises a blend of sports, culinary delights, and cultural festivities that will enchant both golfers and leisure seekers.

Golf at the Core

Golf is at the heart of Palmares, with its 27 holes redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr in 2011.

The Alvor, Lagos, and Praia loops are consistently ranked among Portugal’s top golf courses, each offering a unique challenge that sweeps down to the oceanfront.

This summer, golfers can take advantage of an 18-hole round, including a buggy for two, at a ‘Summer Offer’ price of €101 per person.

For newcomers, free 30-minute introductory golf classes are available every Tuesday and Thursday, making it the perfect opportunity to pick up the sport.

A Summer Packed with Activities

From golf clinics to wine-tasting sessions, Palmares Ocean Living & Golf boasts an extensive sports and lifestyle events program running weekly until mid-September.

Guests can indulge in traditional Algarve nights, live cooking demonstrations, and yoga sessions, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Bay of Lagos and the Alvor Estuary.

Relaxation and Gastronomy

For those looking to unwind, complimentary yoga sessions are held at the driving range every Monday, with mats provided.

Food enthusiasts are in for a treat with daily wine-tasting events, live cooking demonstrations, and Algarve-themed nights.

Wine-tasting sessions, featuring three local wines and light snacks, are held daily from 4 pm to 5 pm in Palmares’ boutique hotel for €25 per person.

Culinary Delights

‘Live Cooking at Ofyr’ runs from Wednesday to Sunday, showcasing the culinary expertise of head chef Louis Anjos with a special à la carte menu in the clubhouse.

Guests can savour their meals while enjoying live music and the beautiful sunset.

Alternatively, Tuesday evenings feature Algarve-themed nights with a special Portuguese set menu including traditional dishes like cataplana, clams, and shrimps.

For an elevated dining experience, guests can visit the resort’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Al Sud, for an evening of fine dining and culinary excellence.
