Eddie Redmayne and Golf’s Finest Shine at OMEGA Masters Gala

The OMEGA Masters Gala turned the Swiss Alps into a fairway of glamour on Saturday night, with Eddie Redmayne proving he’s as comfortable around golf royalty as he is on the Hollywood stage.

Perched high above Crans-Montana at L’Arnouva, the gala brought together stars of screen and sport in celebration of OMEGA’s 24th year as title sponsor of the OMEGA Masters.

Guests rode cable cars to the mountaintop venue, swapping caddies for cocktails, in a night that fused Swiss sporting heritage with OMEGA’s flair for spectacle.

Redmayne Finds His Swing in the Alps

Redmayne, an OMEGA ambassador since 2015, stepped onto the stage in front of a crowd dotted with major champions and Ryder Cup heroes. Wearing a Seamaster Railmaster in stainless steel, the Oscar winner spoke less like an actor and more like a man who understands why golfers obsess over detail.

“During these past 10 years with OMEGA, I’ve witnessed so many incredible parts of the brand, whether it’s the Olympic Games or the precision on display at their factory,” he said. “I’ve learned there are always more surprises to uncover.

It’s impressive to see the impact they have within the wider world of sport, and how their values of precision and performance are represented here at this amazing golfing location.”

It wasn’t hard to imagine Redmayne swapping lines for yardages. In a setting where precision matters—whether in putting or in watchmaking—his words struck the right note.

A Night with Golf’s Inner Circle

The OMEGA Masters Gala guest list was a leaderboard in its own right. Kim Métraux, Wyndham Clark, Rasmus and Nicolai Højgaard, Danny Willett, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Erik van Rooyen, Frank Kennedy and Guido Migliozzi all traded spikes for suits as they toasted the game and the brand that has helped elevate it.

Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA, summed it up:
“Being here in the mountains, celebrating one of our favourite Swiss sporting events, there really is no better way to experience our OMEGA home.

I’m delighted to welcome everyone here this evening, and especially Eddie, who is getting to experience another unique passion of our brand.”

Where History Meets the High Rough

While the gala sparkled, the OMEGA Masters itself remains golf’s real alpine jewel. First played in 1923 as the Swiss Open, it has called Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club home since 1939, making it the oldest European tournament still played on the same course every year. OMEGA added its name to the trophy in 2001, ensuring the event’s place in both golf history and the brand’s sporting legacy.

And if Eddie Redmayne’s appearance at the OMEGA Masters Gala showed anything, it’s that even a man with an Oscar can appreciate a perfect swing, a high-altitude green, and a watch that keeps time when the putts start to take their own.
