The disruptor that’s been turning golf’s traditions on their head with the grace of a tap-in eagle and the swagger of a Vegas headliner LIV Golf, has struck a new kind of deal.
In a move that screams spectacle over stodgy, the upstart league has joined forces with MGM Resorts International to deliver what they’re calling the “LIV Golf Week 2026 presented by MGM Resorts.” If that sounds like a lot of glitz, well, it is—and they’re not apologising for it.
Yes, LIV Golf—already known for rewriting the golf script—is swapping the sun-kissed fairways of Florida for the neon buzz of Las Vegas.
The new partnership will see MGM Resorts serve as both the presenting sponsor and host venue for the league’s annual pre-season bonanza.
For those still clinging to tweed jackets and tradition, brace yourselves: LIV Golf isn’t just here to play—it’s here to perform.
“LIV Golf is at the forefront of delivering extraordinary best-in-class experiences around the world, and partnering with MGM Resorts takes that mission to the next level,” said Monica Fee, LIV Golf’s Senior Vice President and Head of Global Partnerships.
“By combining our innovative approach with MGM Resorts’ exceptional properties and golf courses, we’re set to deliver dynamic activations and unforgettable experiences.”
Translation? It’ll be golf, but not as your grandfather knew it. Expect neon-lit clubhouses, influencer-heavy content shoots, and press conferences where champagne outnumbers stat sheets.
Lance Evans, Senior Vice President of Sports and Sponsorships for MGM Resorts, added, “Our collaboration with LIV Golf gives us the opportunity to offer our guests and golf fans unparalleled access to a variety of world-class events that only MGM Rewards can provide.
We look forward to this new relationship and having the ability to create memorable and unmatched event experiences.”
So what does “LIV Golf Week” actually involve? Think of it as golf’s version of pre-season training camp—if that training camp had cocktails, camera crews, and celebrity cameos.
It’s where players, team staff, and league brass gather for media shoots, press blitzes, brand campaigns, and a little golf on the side, all in anticipation of the new season’s tee-off.
The content machine will hum across Vegas, from strip-side suites to desert fairways.
And yes, the fans—and more importantly, the VIPs—will be in on the action. Select MGM Resorts guests will get a chance to rub shoulders with the stars of LIV Golf at exclusive events, hospitality outings, and behind-the-scenes experiences during the 2025 season and into the 2026 pre-season showcase. Expect high-stakes hospitality with a driver in one hand and a cocktail in the other.
The league itself continues to push boundaries. LIV Golf has redefined the game with a 54-hole format, shotgun starts, and a hybrid of individual and team competition that has both thrilled and ruffled feathers in equal measure.
The league boasts 13 teams stacked with 14 major champions who collectively own 28 major wins.
Headliners include 2024 LIV Golf Individual Champion Jon Rahm of Legion XIII, Team Champion Cameron Smith (Ripper GC), and heavy-hitters like Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, and Dustin Johnson. If you’re a golf fan with a taste for drama, it’s hard to look away.
As Vegas positions itself as the new capital of sports and entertainment, this partnership marks another feather in its cap—or perhaps, another spike in its soft golf shoe.
More details on LIV Golf Week 2026 presented by MGM Resorts are expected in the coming months.
But one thing’s already clear: this isn’t your dad’s PGA Tour. This is LIV Golf, turned up to 11, with the strip lights to match.
