Record crowds and a thrilling atmosphere marked LIV Golf’s highly anticipated return to The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide for the 2024 edition of the event.
Over 94,000 fans attended across the three-day tournament, with ticket buyers from over 30 different countries.
This impressive turnout surpassed last year’s record, thanks to additional tickets released in response to overwhelming demand.
The event culminated in an action-packed Sunday, featuring the first-ever team playoff in the league’s history, with the all-Australian Ripper GC emerging victorious.
Brendan Steele from HyFlyers GC took home the individual title. LIV Golf Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman expressed his pride, stating, “In our league’s short history, LIV Golf Adelaide has become a can’t-miss event on Australia’s calendar of major international sporting events.”
South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas highlighted the role of fans and the hard work of staff and volunteers in making the event a success.
He said, “The thing that makes LIV Golf Adelaide truly elite is the people. Golf fans from across our state, our nation, and indeed the world, watching the world’s best players.”
Looking ahead, LIV Golf will head to the Serapong course at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore for its next tournament, set to take place May 3-5.
This scenic course is known for its challenging greens, unique contours, and signature holes, promising an exciting competition.
