Horseshoe Bay Resort, a crown jewel in Central Texas Hill Country and a standout member of the Crescent Hotels & Resorts Latitudes collection, has proudly revealed a series of invigorating upgrades to its nearly three-decade-old Whitewater Putting Course.

This 18-hole, par-72-putting paradise, blanketed in lush Zoysia grass and dotted with vibrant tropical landscapes, sand traps, and flowing water hazards, is now even more captivating.

In an era where many top-tier golf resorts are catching on to the allure of putting courses, Horseshoe Bay Resort was ahead of the curve, establishing its adventurous par-72 loop back in the mid-90s.

Nestled around the lively Whitewater 360 Sports Pub, the course offers a perfect setting for an hour of fun with friends, family, or larger groups.

The latest enhancements make the Whitewater Putting Course an even more exhilarating and enjoyable experience.

The turf has been refreshed with smooth-rolling Zoysia grass, and the sand traps now boast vibrant crushed marble sand, adding a stunning contrast to the greens.

For those who fancy a bit of nighttime putting, new LED uplighting, programmable with various colours and themes, adds a magical touch.

The sound system has also been upgraded, ensuring that music accompanies every putt, and a new irrigation system keeps the greens pristine.

“We’ve transformed the Whitewater Putting Course into an immersive and entertaining experience for all ages,” said Anthony Holder, Horseshoe Bay’s Director of Golf Operations.

“Serious golfers will appreciate the championship-quality greens, perfect for working on their game while enjoying a drink and a laugh with friends or family. For everyone else, it’s simply pure fun.

We’ve added horseshoes, cornhole, marshmallow roasting, and a roving beverage bike to keep everyone cool and hydrated. Occasionally, we even bring out exotic birds when the weather permits.”

Further enhancing the experience, Horseshoe Bay Resort has partnered with Callaway to provide every golfer with a new Callaway ball.

Additionally, the resort receives a new fleet of the latest Callaway putters each year, ensuring guests have access to top-of-the-line equipment.

Themed evenings at the Whitewater Putting Course include Monday Night Blues, Two Putt Tuesdays, Wednesday Wingsday with ’90s music, Thirsty Thursday with classic rock, Putting, Pizza, Pop Friday, and Saturday Night Fever Silent Disco.

“You can bring the whole family,” Holder said. “While the kids enjoy the putting course, parents can relax at the Whitewater 360 Sports Pub, have some drinks, watch games, and enjoy a meal.

If you’re with a group of friends and still feel competitive after a day on the main courses, it’s the perfect spot to settle any remaining bets, have a few drinks, and continue the fun.”

Horseshoe Bay Resort boasts four 18-hole championship courses designed by golfing legends—Apple Rock, Ram Rock, and Slick Rock by Robert Trent Jones Sr., and Summit Rock by Jack Nicklaus—alongside the uniquely entertaining Whitewater putting course.
