Meldrum House, the historic country hotel & golf course in Aberdeenshire, is stepping into a bold new era.
The venue has recently appointed Neil McLean as its new Membership Manager, a move that promises to refresh the experience for both personal and corporate members.
With over 18 years of sales and business development experience under his belt, Neil began his role at the start of March, ready to raise the bar at this storied establishment.

“We’re delighted to welcome Neil to the team at what is a pivotal time for Meldrum House,” said Managing Director Jordan Charles.
“We’re making significant investments to the golf course and hotel to offer members and guests an unmatched luxurious experience and Neil’s appointment aligns perfectly with our ambitious growth plans,” he added.
Not one to rest on its laurels, Meldrum House is rolling out an impressive array of upgrades.
The Knights Parkland golf course is benefiting from a substantial investment plan by Apex Hotels, featuring an all-new state-of-the-art suite of greens machinery and tractors equipped with the latest GPS technology—an upgrade valued at more than £700,000.

In addition, all 13 driving range bays now boast TopTracer technology, while a £500,000 kitchen overhaul is set to deliver world-class cuisine for every guest and member.
Neil McLean commented on his appointment: “I feel very privileged to join Meldrum House and help the venue in the next stage of its evolution.
Building on a rich history of excellence in service and with the recent investments across the venue, we have the perfect foundation to position Meldrum House as one of the very best venues in Scotland and I look forward to building relationships with our members and enhancing their experience.”
The momentum continues as Meldrum House recently scooped the ‘Best Premium Hotel’ award at the 2025 Scottish Golf Tourism Awards in Aberdeen.
The venue also enjoyed an improved ranking, ascending to 55th place in the Top 100 Resorts in Great Britain & Ireland listing by Golf World.
Commenting on this new position, the publication noted, “A nudge up in recognition of a fine resort pushing forward, with tweaks to the course as well as in the hotel.”
Looking ahead, the future at Meldrum House is as vibrant as ever. Later this year, Head Teaching Professional and UK Top 50 coach Neil Marr will host a series of premium Golf Schools.
Participants can look forward to a three-night stay complete with breakfast, a tee time on the celebrated Knights Golf Course, 25 hours of engaging instruction, plus lunch, evening dining, and a tour of the Glen Garioch Whisky distillery on the final afternoon.
And come spring, Laser Clays will debut on the croquet lawns, promising even more engaging on-site activities for members and visitors.
