Following the 152nd Open at Royal Troon, LIV returns and makes a quick trip to Rocester, England for LIV UK!

The new venue of JCB Golf and Country Club looks absolutely stunning, and LIV in the UK always makes for must-see TV.

Upon conclusion of the last major championship of the year, LIV Golf returns and so does LIV Fantasy!

We’ll examine our top two picks for captain, five for non-captain, and three for team finishes!

Picks for Captain

  1. Jon Rahm – Time is running out for Rahm to earn his first win of the season, but there’s no reason to doubt that he is not capable of doing so. Finishing top ten in The Open will give Rahm a huge confidence boost, and the predicted difficulty of JCB suits Rahm’s game and makes him a favourite to win.
  1. Louis Oosthuizen – With five Top Ten finishes and two 2nd overall finishes, Oosthuizen has been one of LIV’s best. His name flies under the radar for two reasons. Teammate Dean Burmester has a win under his belt and has been more noticeable at major championships, and Stinger GC lacks a team win this season. While Rahm will be the sexy pick to win the tournament, Oosthuizen is just as capable, and just as hungry for his first win of the season.

Picks for Non-Captain

  1. Tyrrell Hatton – Hatton remains the number one fantasy option for a third week in a row. There’s a very good chance The Mad Hatter can win a second individual trophy and wouldn’t it be special if it was accomplished in his native England?
  1. Dean Burmester – Burmester’s game was been solid all season including an individual win in Miami. It will be interesting how to see how Burmester handles any adverse weather conditions as he looked prime to make a run at The Open before a dreadfully rainy Saturday took him squarely off the leaderboard.
  1. Anirban Lahiri – Lahiri’s collapse at Andalucia was heartbreaking. Despite this, his results speak for themself on such an incredibly difficult course like Andalucia.
  1. Paul Casey – Another hometown favourite, Casey and his Crushers teammates have been on a tear as of late. Casey is an excellent swing option if Burmester or Lahiri start to falter.
  1. Patrick Reed – Reed had two Top Five finishes in both UK events last year and is an excellent option if you feel uncomfortable placing both Crushers on your roster. His T4 finish at Andalucia and T3 finish in Houston give him something to build on for the rest of the season.

Picks for Team

  1. Crushers GC – LIV UK has a Crushers win written all over it. DeChambeau, Lahiri, Catlin, and Casey are the most complete team on tour. Anticipated top ten finishes for Lahiri and Casey put Crushers GC on top.
  1. Stinger GC – The trio of Oosthuizen, Burmester, and Schwartzel makes for a compelling pick to win LIV UK. Branden Grace’s score on Championship Sunday will be of concern.
  1. Legion XIII – It is very much a possibility that Jon Rahm or Tyrrell Hatton win the tournament, there’s no better 1-2 punch in the tour. The cause for concern is Legion XIII’s other half in Surrat and Vincent. JCB looks to be a difficult course and Surrat and Vincent were among the worst in the field during Andalucia which served as the greatest test of mettle for the field thus far.

Remember to set your fantasy roster before Friday morning when LIV returns to action in The United Kingdom!
