Dubai Golf and Viya Golf Clubs Shine in Golf World MENA Top 100 Rankings 2024

Yas Links

In the latest Golf World MENA Top 100 Rankings for 2024, Dubai Golf and Viya Golf clubs have strutted their stuff like a peacock on a sunny day, proving they arenโ€™t just here to make up the numbers.

With courses leapfrogging up the charts and a newcomer making quite the splash, itโ€™s a story of serious success for this gang of golf courses.

If you like your fairways lush and your greens fast, then these folks have plenty to crow about.

The headliner is Yas Links in Abu Dhabi, which clings onto the top spot like a golfer with a comfortable lead on the 18th. Theyโ€™ve kept their #1 ranking, and nobody seems surprised.

The team at Yas Links hasnโ€™t been resting on their laurels; instead, theyโ€™ve been sharpening their tools, making sure theyโ€™re the best in the MENA region for yet another year.

But the real buzz is about the movement happening elsewhere in the rankings.

Emirates Golf Clubโ€™s Majlis Course put on a performance worthy of a standing ovation, jumping from 9th to 3rd.

Meanwhile, Jumeirah Golf Estatesโ€™ Earth Course made a leap from 14th to 7th, showing that gravity isnโ€™t the only thing that can pull you up.

JGE Earth 18th hole

Not to be left out, Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club have both made their way into the top dozen, sitting at 10th and 11th respectively.

Even Yas Acres Golf and Country Club, a new player in the rankings, made quite the entrance at 53rd and snagged the title of the best-rated 9-hole course in the entire MENA region. Talk about making an impression!

CEO Christopher Mayโ€™s Take on the Rankings

Dubai Golf CEO, Christopher May, couldn’t be prouder of these results. โ€œWe are absolutely delighted to see strong results in the latest Golf World MENA Top 100 rankings.

This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the teams at each of our clubs, particularly the agronomy teams whose relentless commitment to maintaining exceptional course conditions has been crucial to our success,โ€ he beamed, likely wearing a smile as wide as a fairway.

Dubai Creek 17th hole

He didnโ€™t stop there. May was quick to highlight the smart investments theyโ€™ve been making, like the swanky new irrigation system at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.

โ€œThrough continuous investments, such as the new state-of-the-art irrigation system at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, we are able to further enhance our product offering and elevate the experience for all golfers.

Weโ€™re proud to be able to offer members and visiting golfers some of the very best golf this region has to offer, and weโ€™re always looking to keep getting better,โ€ he added.

Gearing Up for the DP World Tour

And it doesnโ€™t stop there, folks. Dubai Golf and Viya Golf are revving their engines to host some big-time DP World Tour events over the next half year.

Yas Links is set to host the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, the opening event of the DP World Tourโ€™s two-part playoff series.

Then, the season-ending DP World Tour Championship will return to Jumeirah Golf Estatesโ€™ Earth Course, and come January, the tour will swing by for the Hero Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Clubโ€™s Majlis Course. Itโ€™s a busy calendar, but these guys thrive on the action.

Paving the Way for Excellence

These rankings build on last year’s success, where Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club entered the Top 100 World Golf Resorts list at #43, becoming the highest-ranked golf resort in the UAE.

Yas Links wasn’t too far behind, debuting at #50 and nabbing the top spot in Abu Dhabi.

With these latest rankings, Dubai Golf and Viya Golf are showing they arenโ€™t just setting the bar highโ€”theyโ€™re constantly raising it.

Dubai Golf operates some of the finest courses youโ€™ll find in Dubaiโ€”Emirates Golf Club, Jumeirah Golf Estates, and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Clubโ€”while Viya Golf handles Yas Links, Yas Acres, and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in Abu Dhabi.

Theyโ€™ve also got Topgolf Dubai in their pocket, which has become a favourite for a more casual but equally fun golfing experience.
