Cutting-Edge Golf Innovation: WMX’s HYPER & SUPER Grips Arrive in the U.S.

If there’s one thing golf teaches us, it’s that a good grip can make all the difference—just ask the folks at WMX Swing Grips, who’ve taken the long way ‘round to American fairways, crossing the Pacific with all the swagger of a well-struck 3-wood.

Born in South Korea in 2022, WMX was the brainchild of a then-24-year-old Kim Hwon, who clearly didn’t get the memo about waiting your turn.

Her multilayer, high-performance grips quickly became the talk of the driving ranges back home, spread like wildfire to Japan, and have now set their sights on the U.S. market.

Turns out, when you reinvent the way golfers connect with their clubs, word gets around.

Hwon’s inspiration sprang from the idea of blending wellness and sport (wellmxs). Gathering a seasoned crew with over three decades of healthcare manufacturing expertise, Hwon set out to transform how golfers connect with their clubs.

Recognising golf as a lifelong pursuit promoting health and wellness for all ages, the WMX team aimed to overhaul traditional grip design through advanced materials, a more refined tactile feel, and modern aesthetics.

Unlike many grips out there, WMX prides itself on innovative engineering that nix the usual second-round surface finishes.

The result? Precisely textured grips, reliable weights across various designs, and that fresh, like-new feel long after the first swing. No wonder WMX Swing Grips are capturing attention from both seasoned pros and weekend warriors alike.

HYPER Grip

Headlining the lineup is the HYPER grip, created via a six-step injection process. Inside, a firm core cuts down swing torque and boosts stability.

Outside, a dual-colour layer offers a smoother texture and a wave-pattern design for added grip and moisture management.

With a 360-degree texture ensuring a consistent feel on everything from adjustable drivers to tricky greenside shots, the HYPER is entirely paint- and chemical-free—and arrives in 12 distinct styles, with more hitting the market in 2025.

SUPER Grip

Not to be outdone, the SUPER grip showcases a four-step injection process. It pairs a firm inner layer with a softer outer surface, providing excellent rotational stability through every swing.

Raised diamond textures reinforce the upper-hand zone, improving both traction and confidence.

Like the HYPER, the SUPER grip sports a uniform 360-degree design with no secondary processing, giving players consistent weight and performance. It’s currently available in 8 unique styles.

Size Options

Both the HYPER and SUPER lines come in Standard and Undersize fits, while Midsize versions are slated for a 2025 debut.
