Dan Brown and Matthew Jordan will be showcasing their skills at The Belfry next month for the Betfred British Masters, hosted by Sir Nick Faldo.
Both golfers secured top-ten finishes at The Open, making them formidable contenders for this prestigious event.
Impressive Performances at The Open
English golfer Dan Brown stunned spectators with an opening round of 65 at Royal Troon, taking the 18-hole lead during his Major Championship debut.
Matthew Jordan also impressed, securing consecutive top tens at The Open.
These performances have earned them spots at The Belfry in August, as the Race to Dubai reaches its pivotal ‘Back 9’ stage.
This critical period will see golfers vying for positions in the DP World Tour Play-Offs.
Dan Brown’s Return to Form
Dan Brown, who led after the first round of the final men’s Major of the year, is looking to build on his success from the 2023 ISPS Handa World Invitational.
“I’m really excited about playing in front of the home fans again so soon after The Open,” Brown stated.
“Having their support last week was amazing, and I’m sure they’ll be out in force again at The Belfry.
I’ve taken a lot of confidence from the way I played at Royal Troon, and I’m looking forward to another week on home soil taking on a strong field at a world-renowned venue.”
Matthew Jordan’s Consistent Form
Matthew Jordan, who finished in a share of tenth place at The Open, is also eager to compete at The Belfry.
“The British Masters is always a special event for me,” said Jordan. “The list of past champions is packed with legends of the game, from Sam Torrance and Thomas Bjørn to Seve and even Sir Nick himself, so having the chance to add my name to that is a fantastic opportunity.
I have some great memories from the tournament over the past few years, and I’m hoping to make a few more at The Belfry this year.”
A Star-Studded Field at The Belfry
The Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo will feature a strong British contingent, including Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and 2016 Masters Champion Danny Willett.
Rising star and Junior Ryder Cup winner Kris Kim will also make his DP World Tour debut.
The tournament marks the beginning of the Back 9 on the Race to Dubai, a crucial period as players aim to boost their rankings ahead of the DP World Tour Play-offs.
A Historic Venue
This year’s tournament will be the seventh, and fourth consecutive, held at The Belfry, a venue with a rich history.
It has hosted 20 DP World Tour events since 1979, when Seve Ballesteros triumphed at the Lada English Golf Classic.
