The FedEx Open de France returns with a fresh twist as Dan Bradbury gears up to defend his title at the new venue, Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche, from September 18-21.
This storied tournament, steeped in history yet always ready to surprise, is set to test the mettle of its world-class competitors on an impeccably designed course.
Bradbury, who recently secured his second DP World Tour victory at Le Golf National, is buzzing with anticipation.
With a growing reputation and a confident stride, he’s ready to build on last year’s triumph. As he puts it, “Winning the Open de France last year was a huge moment for me, and I’m excited to return and try to defend my title,” he said.
“Moving to Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche adds a fresh challenge, and I’ve heard great things about the course. The French fans were incredible last year, and I’m looking forward to playing in front of them again.
“Winning my maiden title in Joburg was an amazing feeling, but winning for a second time just showed that I have the game to compete regularly at this level and at an event with the stature as the Open de France is even more satisfying.”
Joining Bradbury in the French capital is New Zealand’s Rolex Series winner Ryan Fox, making his sixth appearance at the FedEx Open de France.
Fox, whose experience on the DP World Tour is as vast as the challenges ahead, shares his excitement: “I love playing in historic tournaments and they don’t come much bigger than the Open de France,” Fox said.
“The Back 9 on the Race to Dubai is stacked with huge events and I’m really looking forward to getting a run at them and seeing what I can do.”
Adding even more local flair, rising French star Martin Couvra will make his debut as a full DP World Tour member on home soil.
His enthusiasm is palpable when he remarks, “I can’t wait to play in the Open de France as a full DP World Tour member for the first time,” Couvra said.
“It’s so special to play in front of the home fans and I can’t wait to tee it up in September.”
Five-time DP World Tour winner Alexander Levy, returning after a brief hiatus, is equally excited: “I have always cherished every opportunity I’ve been given to play in the Open de France and I was gutted to miss it last year, so I’m incredibly excited to tee it up at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche in September.”
Not to be outdone, Julien Guerrier, fresh off his maiden DP World Tour title at the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters, is set to embrace the moment as a winner on home turf.
He stated, “It is going to be so special returning to the Open de France as a DP World Tour winner and I’m really excited to play in front of the French fans again,” Guerrier said.
Now in its 107th edition, the FedEx Open de France embarks on a new chapter with Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche—a venue renowned for its strategic layout and picturesque setting, and once a proud host of the Seve Trophy.
