English Stars Return to Wentworth

Fleetwood, who started his year with a victory at the Dubai Invitational, will make his 13th consecutive appearance at the BMW PGA Championship.

Reflecting on the unique atmosphere at Wentworth, Fleetwood remarked, “Wentworth is always an incredible week, especially for us English players, and I’m excited to play in front of my family and the home crowds at the BMW PGA Championship.

The fans always make it a memorable tournament and that’s why I love playing it.”

Fresh off his 2022 U.S. Open victory and a triumphant Ryder Cup campaign, Matt Fitzpatrick aims to add a tenth DP World Tour title to his impressive resume.

“The BMW PGA Championship is always a highlight on my calendar,” said Fitzpatrick.

“I’ve had a few chances to contend at Wentworth over the years, and as a Rolex Series event, it has grown to create an incredible atmosphere for the players, fans, and everyone involved.”

Justin Rose, the 2013 U.S. Open champion and 2016 Olympic Gold Medallist, is eager to build on his strong performance in 2023.

“The English fans are always appreciative of good golf, and they add so much to what is a great week,” said Rose.

“The BMW PGA Championship is a tournament that I always look forward to returning to and it will be nice to be back at Wentworth with my family and friends.”

Danny Willett, the 2019 BMW PGA Championship winner, is also set to make his mark following a challenging period of injury recovery.

“Winning the BMW PGA Championship in 2019 in front of my family and friends was a huge moment in my career,” Willett shared.

“I have some special memories and I have drawn on that as I continue my return to golf after injury.

The fans bring an incredible vibe all week at Wentworth, so I’m looking forward to another great event in September.”
