Callaway Golf Names Ben Sharpe as New Managing Director & President of EMEA Business

In a strategic move, Callaway Golf has appointed Ben Sharpe as the new Managing Director & President of EMEA, effective May 1st.

Sharpe, a seasoned industry veteran, will succeed Neil Howie, who announced his retirement after 26 years of dedicated service.

Ben Sharpe brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served as Chief Franchise Officer and General Manager of Topgolf Technologies at Topgolf.

Prior to this, he held the position of President at Toptracer, where he oversaw sales and installations of cutting-edge technologies at golf courses globally, including broadcast solutions for major events.

His tenure at TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company further enhances his understanding of the golf market landscape, positioning him as a valuable asset to Callaway as it continues its trajectory as a leading modern golf company.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Ben Sharpe stated, “I have long been an admirer of the Callaway brand and I am excited to work with Glenn and the Callaway team in developing market-leading products, supporting our retail partners, and ultimately engaging golfers around the world to play more and play better.”

Glenn Hickey, President of Callaway Golf and EVP of Topgolf Callaway Brands, extended his gratitude to Neil Howie for his exceptional leadership over the years.

Howie’s journey, which began in 1998 as an Odyssey Brand Manager, culminated in his role as Managing Director and President of the wider EMEA business.

Under his guidance, Callaway emerged as a dominant force in the European market.

The transition from Neil Howie to Ben Sharpe aims to be seamless, with both leaders fully committed to sustaining the company’s momentum.
