Ben Campbell is heading back to Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, eager to defend his International Series Morocco title and cement his name in the game’s next chapter.
This July 3–6 showdown is the fourth stop on the International Series calendar, and for Campbell, it’s not just another event—it’s where the spark of his LIV Golf journey first roared into flame.
The 33-year-old New Zealander’s playoff victory over John Catlin last year was the stuff of folklore: an eagle-birdie finish on the Red Course that flipped the script and launched him into the LIV Golf League.

“Returning to Morocco is incredibly special,” said Campbell. “Last year’s win really changed the trajectory of my career. The course, the energy there, it all came together for something unforgettable. I’m excited to be back and ready to defend the title.”
This time, Campbell’s got more than a trophy in mind. His American rival Catlin is back, still fuming from last year’s near-miss. So too is 2011 Masters champion Charl Schwartzel, bringing his own major-winning swagger to Rabat.

Campbell’s RangeGoats GC teammate Peter Uihlein, with two International Series wins already in the bag, adds yet another dimension to a stacked field.
And let’s not forget Andy Ogletree—HyFlyers GC’s 2019 US Amateur champion, who’s fresh off topping the International Series Rankings last year. Jazz Janewattananond from Thailand, a serial winner on the Asian Tour, will also be in the mix, aiming to add more silverware after winning the inaugural Morocco edition in 2022.
For Ben Campbell, this trip to Morocco is a chance to prove that last year’s victory was no flash in the pan. His 2024 campaign has been one of steady growth, highlighted by a third-place finish at LIV Golf Singapore and a current spot of 25th in the LIV Golf standings.
He’s also a two-time International Series winner, with the 2023 Hong Kong Open already under his belt, and finished last season second on the Asian Tour Order of Merit behind—who else—Catlin.
“Morocco has been a key destination for The International Series,” said Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series. “We have seen two incredible tournaments there, played on a world-class venue, offering genuine growth and development for the region’s top talent.
“The players love going there, and the atmosphere is starting to build as we approach the event.
This year, with such a high-calibre field featuring stars from both the Asian Tour and LIV Golf, we expect another unforgettable week of golf that highlights the global appeal and prestige of The International Series.”
This year’s Moroccan stop carries extra weight—it’s the fourth of 10 elevated events on the Asian Tour calendar, and every shot counts for those chasing a golden ticket to LIV Golf’s 2026 season.
The International Series Rankings champion is guaranteed a spot in LIV Golf, while others high on the list get their shot through the Promotions event.
Three International Series events have already played out—in India, Macau and Japan—setting the stage for this battle in the North African sun.
The stakes are high, the course is ready, and Ben Campbell is back on the grounds where his destiny first took a turn. Let the show begin.
