Anna Huang Signs With DEFY After LET Breakthrough

By all reasonable standards, Anna Huang should still be learning to drive and sneaking in nine holes after school.

Instead, the 16-year-old is preparing to tee it up at the US Women’s Open—her first major as a professional—and has just signed with UK-based talent growth agency DEFY to steer the next stage of her career.

If the name Anna Huang hasn’t landed on your radar yet, it’s time to pay attention. In December 2024, she became the youngest player to earn full Ladies European Tour status, and the first Canadian to do so in nearly a decade.

In the five months since, she’s already made the cut in five of her first six LET starts.

This isn’t youthful promise—it’s early proof.

And now, as the youngest professional in the field at Erin Hills this week, Huang has added DEFY to her team in a move that signals clear intent.

Harry Croft, co-founder of DEFY, returned the compliment. “Anna is a fantastic talent and an extraordinary person.

Her maturity and dedication to the sport mean that her ceiling is limitless, and we want to help her develop into the player everyone knows that she can be.

“We’re so pleased to have Anna join the DEFY family at what is an incredibly exciting and important period of her career.”

DEFY, whose growing client list spans golf, football, and tennis, is carving out a reputation for long-term career building over flash-in-the-pan PR.

Their backing is both strategic and personal, with a focus on representation, performance, and exposure tailored to each athlete.

For Huang, who has gone from junior golf standout to tour regular in less time than it takes most of us to pick a putter, this partnership could be the start of something lasting.
