World Number One Scottie Scheffler is bringing his red-hot form to the Genesis Scottish Open, confirming his return to the Renaissance Club this July. Tickets for the Rolex Series event, part of golf’s elite schedule, are on sale now at ETG.GOLF/GSOGA.
Fresh off a gutsy title defence at the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday, Scheffler will be the man to watch from July 10-13.
The Genesis Scottish Open, a prestigious stop co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, has become a proving ground for the world’s best, and this year’s edition promises no shortage of drama.
Scheffler’s presence marks seven of the top ten in the Official World Golf Ranking who will tee it up in Scotland’s national open. He’ll join forces with familiar faces: Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Ludvig Åberg and Sepp Straka.
The defending champion, Robert MacIntyre, will be keen to keep the trophy on home soil, as will past winners McIlroy and Schauffele.
The field also boasts Major winners Justin Rose and Matt Fitzpatrick, six-time PGA TOUR victor Max Homa, and the most recent Genesis Championship winner, Byeong Hun An.
For Scheffler, Muirfield Village was just another box ticked in what’s becoming a season for the history books.
His victory was his third of the year, including his third Major at the US PGA Championship, and he joined Tiger Woods as the only players to successfully defend their titles at Jack’s Place.
Returning to the Genesis Scottish Open after a tied third-place finish in 2023, Scheffler is relishing the chance to tackle links golf again.
“I’m looking forward to getting back to the Genesis Scottish Open next month,” he said.
“It’s an event and a course I enjoy playing given we only get to play links golf a couple of times a year. Playing in such a strong field and in front of the Scottish fans is always fun for us.”
The Genesis Scottish Open stands tall on the global stage, bolstered by Genesis, the luxury automotive brand that also sponsors The Genesis Invitational.
This year’s event is once again supported by the Scottish Government and VisitScotland, with agreements stretching through to 2025, keeping it locked into the week before The Open – the perfect tune-up for golf’s oldest Major.
Fans can expect more than just world-class golf. The 2025 Genesis Scottish Open will see KT Tunstall headline the Fringe by the Tee pop-up stage on Saturday, in partnership with the Fringe by the Sea festival – a nod to Scotland’s vibrant cultural heritage.
General Admission tickets are on sale now with savings of up to £15 on final prices for those who buy early. But fans need to move quickly.
Green on 18 Premium Experience tickets are already sold out for Friday, with limited availability for the rest of the week.
Grandstand tickets have also been snapped up, and only a handful of Ticket+ passes remain for Saturday.
For those who want to see the world’s best golfers tackle one of Scotland’s finest links, tickets can be snapped up at ETG.GOLF/GSOGA.
For an enhanced experience, Ticket+ options are available at ETG.GOLF/GSOPLUS, while the Green on 18 Premium Experience can be found at ETG.GOLF/GSOPE.
This summer, the Renaissance Club will once again be the stage for golf’s brightest stars, and the Genesis Scottish Open is shaping up to be a can’t-miss week of golf, music, and memories.
