12 Amateurs, 5 Nations, £80K Goal: The Golf Trust’s June Fundraiser for Disability Access

The Golf Trust has just teed off its most ambitious fundraising venture yet, and it’s already turning heads.

This June, a spirited band of 12 amateur golfers will tackle 18 rounds across five countries in six days—all to raise £80,000 for three state-of-the-art Paragolfer all-terrain wheelchairs.

A Swing Across Five Countries

Kicking off from The Shire London on June 16th, the team will navigate public links, parkland courses and hidden gems, finally arriving at the hallowed turf of St Andrews on June 22nd.

Along the way, they’ll spotlight how accessible and affordable golf can be when barriers are removed—and share the life-changing stories of participants via social media and an upcoming documentary.

Building on Project 24

This “Going the Extra Mile” initiative stands on the shoulders of Project 24, which successfully funded two Paragolfers now in use at Walmley Golf Club and Roehampton Club.

“When we started campaigning and fundraising to make golf using the Paragolfer more accessible for people with mobility issues there were none available for public use,” explains founder of The Golf Trust Cae Menai-Davis.

“6 years later, there are now 10 Paragolfers publicly available to use and free to access, but we still need more.

We want the industry and golfers to get behind us so that we can show what happens when we all go the extra mile.”

Why Paragolfers Matter

Paragolfers aren’t just mobility aids—they’re gateways to physical and mental wellness.

Demand has surged in recent years as clubs recognise the positive impact these machines have on players of all abilities.

By placing three new units in currently unserved regions of the UK, The Golf Trust aims to ensure that no golfer is sidelined by terrain or access issues.

How You Can Tee Up Support

Fundraising is already underway via a lively Crowdfunder campaign, where contributors can win exclusive golf experiences and coveted tournament tickets.
