Snedeker Set To Take On The Belfry In His 2025 British Masters Debut

American Ryder Cup star and former FedExCup champion Brandt Snedeker is set to tee it up at The Belfry for the 2025 Betfred British Masters, marking a high-profile return to these shores.

With the British Masters kicking off the DP World Tour’s Back 9, Snedeker joins European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald on the storied Brabazon Course from August 21–24.

A Storied Venue, A Fresh Appearance

Nine-time PGA TOUR winner Snedeker—last year named Vice Captain for the U.S. Ryder Cup team—has waited patiently for this moment.

His appearance at The Belfry will be his first non-Major showing in the British Isles, following a strong DP World Tour debut at the 2024 D+D REAL Czech Masters.

Experience Meets Aspiration

Snedeker arrives with a Ryder Cup victory under his belt (2016) and nine Major top-10s, including a T3 at The Open in 2012—the same year he lifted the FedExCup trophy.

Despite his impressive résumé, he’s approaching the Betfred British Masters with the hunger of a rookie.

“I’ve heard so much about the history of The Belfry and the British Masters, and I’m excited to finally experience it for myself,” said Snedeker.

Passionate Crowds and Proud Traditions It’s no secret that UK golf fans bring an energy all their own—something Snedeker can’t wait to soak up.

“It’s always a thrill to play in front of passionate crowds, and I know the UK fans love their golf.

With Sir Nick hosting, it’s shaping up to be a great week, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

From Seve Ballesteros in 1979 to modern stars, the British Masters roll of honour reads like a who’s who of golf royalty.

This year, Sir Nick Faldo—six-time Major champion and tournament host—will preside over the final counting event for European Ryder Cup qualification, raising the stakes for every contender.

From Czech Republic to Sutton Coldfield

Having enjoyed the sights and fairways of Prague, Snedeker is eager to embrace another LPEON path.

“I have played in the States for the majority of my career but I loved my trip to the Czech Republic last year, so I’m excited to return to the DP World Tour for the Betfred British Masters and take in another new experience.”

Setting the Stage for Ryder Cup Qualification

As the 22nd DP World Tour event staged at The Belfry, the British Masters again promises drama, tradition and world-class competition.

With Luke Donald leading the European charge, every stroke could tip the balance in the race to Rome.
