16th Edition of Nick Faldo Series Asia: Top Junior Talent Tees Off at Laguna Golf Lang Co

Once again, the Nick Faldo Series Asia is gearing up to set Laguna Golf Lang Co ablaze with the best of the region’s junior talent, as the top young golfers get ready to tee off from April 22-25, 2025.

Now in its 16th edition, this event has a real knack for spotting future legends—after all, who can forget that Rory McIlroy, Danny Willet, and Yani Tseng all cut their teeth here?

Regarded as the world’s premier junior golf circuit, the Faldo Series has also catapulted the careers of Tyrell Hatton, Joaquin Niemann, Eddie Pepperell, Li Haotong, Mel Reid, Carly Booth, and Nasa Hataoka.

This year’s contestants will battle it out over the Sir Nick Faldo Signature course, hoping to follow in the footsteps of past champions and earn their shot at golf’s ultimate stage.

“The Faldo Series has always been about providing young golfers with the opportunity to compete at an elite level and learn the skills needed to succeed in the professional game,” said Sir Nick Faldo.

“Laguna Golf Lang Co is the perfect venue for the Grand Final, offering a championship-calibre course in a stunning location.

We’ve seen so many talented young players emerge from this event, and I have no doubt this year’s field will be stronger than ever.”

One player who knows exactly what it takes to win here is the defending champion, Nguyen Duc Son.

The 18-year-old Vietnamese phenom soared to victory last year with rounds of 70, 69, and 69, finishing at -5. Having since relocated to Australia to study and sharpen his craft, Son’s impressive trajectory illustrates how this event provides a real springboard for talented youngsters seeking to move up the ladder.

His rise through the ranks is a pretty clear sign that Vietnam is fast becoming a serious player in the world of golf—and Laguna Golf Lang Co has been right there, cheering from the sidelines and offering the perfect place to grow.

Tucked between the shimmering East Sea and the quietly majestic slopes of the Annamite foothills, Laguna Golf Lang Co isn’t just a golf course—it’s a bit of an escape. The kind of place where fierce ambition goes hand-in-hand with a deep breath, and where the view might just stop you in your tracks before your swing does.

Beyond the on-course fireworks, this year’s Grand Final is set to cement Vietnam’s reputation as an emerging heavyweight in golf.

The Vietnam Golf Coast destination marketing drive is pulling out all the stops, showcasing some of the most jaw-dropping courses in Asia and proving that this region isn’t just participating – it’s poised to lead the charge.

“We are incredibly proud to host the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final once again,” said Stephen Banks, Director of Golf at Laguna Golf Lang Co.

“This event not only highlights the incredible talent emerging from Asia but also showcases our course and resort to a global audience.

We are committed to supporting young golfers on their journey and look forward to welcoming players, families, and fans for what promises to be a fantastic tournament.”
