Introducing the DS-ADAPT MAX: Extra Forgiveness for Higher Handicaps
Expanding Cobra’s game-improvement arsenal, the DS-ADAPT MAX irons cater specifically to higher handicap players seeking maximum forgiveness.
These irons retain all the innovative technologies of the standard DS-ADAPT model but feature a slightly oversized, high MOI (Moment of Inertia) shape.
With a longer blade, thicker topline, and additional offset, the MAX irons present a more forgiving clubhead while maintaining an attractive address profile.
The MAX variant also boasts 2-degree weaker lofts and a wider sole, facilitating an effortless launch for players with moderate swing speeds.
This design tweak not only boosts carry distance but also enhances stopping power on the greens.
Additionally, the increased offset helps mitigate slices, promoting a straighter ball flight.
Testing revealed that the MAX model offers approximately 1.6° higher launch, 550 rpm more spin, a 2.4-yard higher peak trajectory, steeper descent angles by 2°, and an impressive 8-yard draw bias compared to the standard DS-ADAPT irons.

The Cobra DS-ADAPT Irons and the DS-ADAPT MAX variants are competitively priced at $999 for steel shafts and $1,099 for graphite options.
Available configurations include 4-SW and 5-GW iron sets with choices between KBS Tour Lite steel shafts or KBS PGI graphite shafts.
For female golfers, the DS-ADAPT MAX women’s irons come in a lightweight graphite combo set priced at $1,099, featuring a KBS PGI 55 graphite shaft to enhance launch and distance.
