It’s hard to believe that 25 years have passed since the golf world lost Payne Stewart, a remarkable golfer renowned not only for his outstanding skills on the course but also for his kindness and generosity off it.
Payne, along with Robert Fraley, Van Ardan, Bruce Borland, and pilots Michael Kling and Stephanie Bellegarrigue, tragically died on October 25, 1999, when their plane lost cabin pressure and crashed in a pasture in South Dakota.
Stewart’s family—wife Tracey, daughter Chelsea, and son Aaron—have diligently kept his legacy alive through the Payne Stewart Family Foundation, the Payne Stewart Award, children’s camps, golf ventures, and most recently, The Payne Stewart Collection of apparel. This new collection is designed to celebrate Payne’s unique style and vibrant flair.
