Get ready, Glasgow! The Topgolf Open is set to light up the town, promising a star-studded event that will bring together creators from the realms of golf, lifestyle, and travel.
Local Glasgow influencers, members of both national and local media, and VIPs from Special Olympics GB will also be in attendance, making it a must-attend celebration.
A Fusion of Sport and Art
In honour of the Topgolf Open, two renowned artists from artpistol have been commissioned to capture the agony and ecstasy of golf through their art.
Their exclusive pieces will be available for purchase in a silent auction, adding an artistic flair to the event.
The Block Party Game Mode
The event, scheduled just before The 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon, will celebrate Topgolf’s new Block Party game mode.
This innovative mode, which rewards every golf shot with points regardless of distance, has quickly become a global sensation and will be a highlight of the event.
Community Spirit and Innovation
Topgolf Open will showcase the vibrant community and innovative entertainment that Topgolf is known for.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience live art creation by three artists and be among the first to try out Topgolf’s latest golf club, designed in collaboration with Callaway.
This new club aims to make it easier for beginners to enjoy the game, ensuring everyone can have fun.
Michael Angelides, Senior Director of International Marketing at Topgolf, shared his enthusiasm: “Our goal with the Topgolf Open is to bring together a diverse group of people to celebrate the unique experience that Topgolf offers during a huge weekend of sport for western Scotland.
We are thrilled to see such a fantastic response to our Block Party game mode and are excited to introduce our new golf club, which we believe will revolutionize the way people enjoy the game at Topgolf venues around the country.”
An Evening of Entertainment and Charity
The evening will be filled with lively competitions, socialising, street art, and a Postage Stamp theme across the venue, paying homage to the iconic 8th hole at Royal Troon. It’s not just about having fun; it’s also about making a difference.
Agony and Ecstasy – Silent Auction
The Topgolf Open will spotlight Glasgow street art while raising funds for Special Olympics Great Britain.
Artists Hannah Lockey and Louise McGunnigle from artpistol will present their pieces capturing the emotional highs and lows of golf.
The canvases, each measuring 1×1.8m, will be available for purchase through a silent auction, with 50% of the proceeds going to the artists and the other 50% benefiting Special Olympics GB.
Bidding opens on the event day and closes on Sunday, 21st July, at 10 pm GMT. Place your bids here.
