In a move that blends elegance with athletic prowess, Original Penguin® has unveiled Esther Henseleit as its newest brand ambassador.
The 25-year-old German golf sensation brings not only a formidable game but also a distinctive style that resonates perfectly with Original Penguin’s ethos of timeless flair and contemporary charm.
“We are thrilled to welcome Esther to the Original Penguin family,” announced Oscar Feldenkreis, CEO and President of Perry Ellis International.
“Her passion for golf and keen eye for style align seamlessly with our brand values.
Esther’s achievements on the course and vibrant personality make her an ideal ambassador as we continue to expand our global presence.”
Originally hailing from Hamburg, Germany, Esther’s rise to prominence began in 2019 when she stormed onto the Ladies European Tour scene.
Her rookie year dazzled with eight top-10 finishes, clinching her first tour victory, and earning both Rookie of the Year honours and the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit.
Notably, she became only the third player in LET history to achieve this dual triumph in a single season.
Esther’s momentum carried into the 2023 LPGA Tour season, where she secured notable finishes, including a runner-up spot at the ISPS Handa World Invitational and a third-place finish at the Buick LPGA Shanghai.
Her consistent performance has solidified her position among the top competitors, currently standing 70th in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
The 2024 season has seen Esther continue her ascent, highlighted by a strong showing at the Chevron Championship, where she secured a commendable 7th place.
With her sights set on further achievements, Esther has earned full LPGA Tour status for the year and is gearing up for prestigious events like the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and a potential spot on Europe’s Solheim Cup team.
“I am delighted to join the Original Penguin family,” Esther remarked. “Their products not only exude unique style but also perform exceptionally well, allowing me to focus on my game under any conditions.
I look forward to representing the Penguin both on and off the course throughout 2024 and beyond.”
Esther joins an illustrious lineup of Original Penguin ambassadors, including Cameron Smith, Jake Knapp, Nico Echavarría, and Mason Andersen, further solidifying the brand’s footprint in the world of professional golf.
“We are expanding the Original Penguin legacy globally with some of the finest athletes,” Feldenkreis added.
“Esther’s dynamic energy and unwavering determination bring a distinctive flair to our brand, reinforcing our commitment to those who embrace their originality.”
For over six decades, Original Penguin and its iconic Pete the Penguin emblem have epitomized American leisure and athletic excellence.
Today, their legacy endures as a symbol of authenticity and style, resonating with those who embody the spirit of being original.
