Renowned actor and avid golfer Tom Holland is set to make his third appearance at the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am at Wentworth Club on Wednesday, September 18.
This year, he’s making it a family affair by joining forces with his twin siblings, Sam Holland, a chef, and Harry Holland, a director, writer, and producer.
The Holland brothers are known for their enthusiasm for golf and have been seen playing on courses worldwide.
Tom Holland initially gained recognition for his role in the West End musical “Billy Elliot” in 2008.
However, his fame skyrocketed when he donned the Spider-Man suit in Marvel’s superhero films since 2016, starting with “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and continuing with other hits like “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”
Alongside his acting career, Tom is returning to the West End this summer in Jamie Lloyd’s production of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London.
The BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am serves as a star-studded prelude to the main event, featuring global celebrities and renowned golfers.
It kicks off on Wednesday, September 18, setting the stage for the championship that tees off on Thursday, September 19.
Defending champion Ryan Fox will return to defend his title against notable past winners like Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, and Billy Horschel.
Beyond the Celebrity Pro-Am, the BMW PGA Championship Festival of Golf, held just outside central London, draws over 100,000 spectators each year.
Ahead of their appearance at last year’s BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am, the three Holland brothers gave up a day to take on the popular Chase The Ace Hole-In-One Challenge, which they have long been fans of, in the first-ever celebrity edition.
The event features not only top-tier golf action but also live entertainment on the Showstage and a vibrant Spectator Village.
The G4D TOUR @ BMW PGA Championship, which takes place at the beginning of the week, showcases some of the best golfers with disabilities as they compete for the penultimate G4D Tour title on the iconic West Course.
The BMW PGA Championship is part of the DP World Tour’s 2024 Global Schedule and holds a key position in the ‘Back 9,’ encompassing nine of the Tour’s most historic tournaments. It’s a crucial stop for players aiming to secure their playing rights for 2025 and advance to the season-ending ‘DP World Tour Play-Offs.’
For attendees, BMW group owners will receive preferred parking benefits, while park & ride and shuttle services from local train stations are provided free of charge for all spectators.
Given the high demand for tickets, fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early to avoid disappointment, as Saturday and Sunday General Admission and all Ticket+ packages sold out in 2023 before the event.
Additionally, there are various Premium Experiences available for spectators, including The Approach by James Tanner, new in 2024, offering flexible and informal dining with dishes from the British Chef.
Other Premium Experiences include the Ballroom for refined dining, Green on 18 for exclusive viewing, and the Champions Club in the fan village for a more immersive experience.
