Keita Nakajima continued his impressive display at the Hero Indian Open, extending his lead to four strokes heading into the final day.
The Japanese golfer’s stellar performance put him in prime position to secure his first DP World Tour victory.
Nakajima, 23, showcased his skill with a composed four-under-par round of 68, bringing his total to an impressive 18 under par after three days at DLF Golf & Country Club.
Despite facing pressure from Romain Langasque, Nakajima maintained his composure to stay ahead.
Starting the day with a two-stroke lead, Nakajima faced stiff competition as Langasque made a charge with four birdies on the front nine.
However, Nakajima regained control with crucial birdies on the 11th and 12th holes, solidifying his position at the top of the leaderboard.
Reflecting on his performance, Nakajima expressed confidence in his game, citing his strong ball-striking and consistent swing throughout the tournament.
Drawing from his experiences in the Japan Golf Tour, where he clinched three victories last year, Nakajima emphasised his transition to the professional circuit and his determination to continue his success.
Meanwhile, Malaysia’s Gavin Green surged into second place with an impressive eight-under-par 64, putting him four shots behind Nakajima.
Langasque, after a mixed back-nine, ended the day tied for second with Green.
As the final day approaches, all eyes will be on Nakajima as he looks to maintain his lead and secure a memorable victory at the Hero Indian Open.
With his confidence and skill on full display, Nakajima is poised to make his mark on the DP World Tour stage.
