The 2024 Genesis Scottish Open is set to feature a stellar lineup including major champions and rising stars, promising an exciting event at Renaissance Club in East Lothian from July 11-14.
This year’s field boasts an impressive roster, with Wyndham Clark, Collin Morikawa, and Nicolai Højgaard confirmed to participate.
World Number Four Wyndham Clark, fresh from securing his maiden Major title at the U.S. Open, will be returning for his third consecutive Genesis Scottish Open appearance.
Clark expressed his anticipation, stating, “I’ve enjoyed teeing it up at the Genesis Scottish Open over the past few years and I’m looking forward to coming back to the Renaissance Club as part of what could be an exciting summer in Europe.”
Two-time Major winner Collin Morikawa, known for his consistent performances, is also set to make his third appearance at the Genesis Scottish Open.
Morikawa commented, “I’m looking forward to coming back to Scotland for what will be an exciting two weeks this summer.
I learned a lot on my first appearance at the Genesis Scottish Open that I was able to take forward to The Open, and I would love to have a great two weeks in front of the Scottish fans this July.”
Nicolai Højgaard, the 2023 Rolex Series winner, is another standout addition to the field.
Højgaard, who made his Ryder Cup debut last year, expressed his excitement about returning to East Lothian, saying, “I had a great week on my last visit to Renaissance Club, as part of what was a truly memorable year.
It’s an event I look forward to, with the best players from the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR coming together, and the support we all receive from the Scottish fans.”
The Genesis Scottish Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, serves as a crucial event in the golf calendar, leading up to The Open.
