The Genesis Scottish Open, a renowned Rolex Series event, will bring together European Ryder Cup stars Ludvig Åberg, Tommy Fleetwood, and Viktor Hovland in 2024.

The tournament will take place at the Renaissance Club from July 11-14, with tickets on sale now.

Åberg, who had a remarkable 2023 season, including a runner-up finish at the Masters, will return to Scotland’s national open.

His standout performances include maiden wins on the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, as well as a record-setting Ryder Cup victory in Italy with Hovland.

The Swedish golfer expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating, “I’ve had a memorable year since I last played this event, and I’m aiming to keep that form going into the summer in Scotland.

The Rolex Series tournaments are always special to play in, and I’m looking forward to getting back to Renaissance Club and playing in front of the Scottish fans.”

Hovland, who partnered with Åberg in the Ryder Cup, also had a successful 2023, ending the year as the FedEx Cup champion.

With multiple wins on the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, he aims to add a second Rolex Series victory to his list of achievements.

Hovland remarked, “I’ve played the Genesis Scottish Open a couple of times now and it’s always a fun week.

It’s a great time to have the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR guys coming together in the week before the Open.”

Fleetwood, the third European Ryder Cup star, will also be at the event, aiming to secure his second title of the season.

He has a strong record in the Genesis Scottish Open, finishing as runner-up in 2020.

He stated, “I’ve come close a couple of times in recent years, and I would love to win my second title of the season at the Genesis Scottish Open.

The tournament makes up a great two weeks, coming in the week before The Open, and I’m looking forward to back-to-back events in Scotland this July.”

The Genesis Scottish Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, is part of the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex and the FedExCup.

Genesis, the luxury automotive brand from South Korea, is the title sponsor of the event.

The tournament benefits from the continued commitment of the Scottish Government, managed by VisitScotland, with agreements extending through to 2025.
